About Children’s Choir 2
Children's Choir 2 | | Pam Van Londen | December 10, 2007 |
This choir is introduced to more complicated musical text and rhythms. Many of the selections contain 2-, 3-, and 4-part harmony.
The choir consists of about 120 children. The children are taught self-discipline and begin instruction in music reading. The children learn to break down a big music assignment into small disciplined parts and to complete a project. These children also learn to move with the music.
Auditions are used to select the children’s choir singers. A child is chosen for specific reasons; s/he loves to sing and is proud to be a singer, s/he is self-disciplined and self-controlled, s/he understands the music.
