Creche Concert – Festival/Chamber

The Festival and Chamber choirs will perform Friday, December 4 at the annual Creche Concert in LDS Mormon Church on 35th Streets & Harrison Blvd. Admission is free. Read more about the event.

Call time is 6:30pm and the concert begins at 7:00pm.
Singers wear Formal uniforms.

Spring Concert at First United Methodist Church 2011

All choirs will sing in the annual spring concert on Sunday, March 12, 2011 at First Methodist Church, located at 1165 NW Monroe in Corvallis.

Tickets go on sale this Monday and Tuesday at choir rehearsals, Gracewinds Music Store, and Custom Eyes of Albany.

Beth Powell Memorial Concert 2011

All HVCC choirs will sing at the Beth Powell Memorial Concert at 3:00pm, Sunday, June 5, 2011 at LaSells Stewart Center on the OSU Campus.

Admission is $8/Adults and $5/Seniors and Children. Tickets can be purchased at the Scrip table during rehearsals. They are also available at Gracewinds (in Corvallis) and Custom Eyes (in Albany). Purchases may be made at the door starting at 2pm on June 5.

Dress Rehearsals TBA

Come dressed in formal uniforms.

Thank you to Mark Miller and Larry Anderson for preparing a CD/DVD of our March concert at the Methodist church. “It was one of our best concerts in a long time,” according to Carol, “as far as acoustics, music and songs, and it is just beautiful to watch and hear all of your singers!!”

Holiday Concert 2009

All HVCC choirs will sing at the Holiday Concert at 3:00pm to 4:30pm, Saturday, December 12, 2009 at LaSells Stewart Center on the OSU Campus.

Admission is $8/Adults and $5/Seniors and Children. Tickets will be available at Gracewinds Music in Corvallis, Sid Stevens Jewelers & Custom Eyes in Albany and starting at 2:00pm at the door prior to the concert.

Due to Freezing Rain we are still going to hold the concert but dress rehearsals will start at 11:15 am today and there will be no intermission.

Festival of Lights Concert a success

The Festival and Children’s 2 choirs will performed at the Festival of Lights Concert on December 1 from 7:00pm to 8:00pm at the First Presbyterian Church in the Sanctuary. They performed with various local groups.

Please arrive at 6:30 pm (normal rehearsal night hours).

The concert begins at 7:00 pm and is finished at 8:00 pm or just a little after. HVCC usually sings about 7:30 pm.

Admission is free.

Gala Finale concert for 25th Anniversary Celebration

All 25th Anniversary Celebration choirs performed a Gala concert on at 7:30pm on July 3, 2009 in Austin Auditorium.

General admission tickets are $15, Senior and Student tickets are $10. Tickets can be purchased at the following locations:

At the door

Parking is free after 5:00pm on the OSU campus.

This concert is part of the Music Celebrations International summer festival and includes these choirs:

- The primary focus of the concert is HVCC’s as it is their 25th Anniversary concert.

The guest conductor is Dr. Andre Thomas, internationally known choral educator, composer and clinician, will be the guest Director of our Festival.

Festival Sharing our Songs concert

HVCC summer singers and all visiting choirs of the 25th Anniversary Festival will present a Sharing our Songs concert at 8:00pm to 9:30pm on Thursday, July 2, at the United Methodist Church on Monroe and 11th streets in Corvallis.

The concert is open to the public. Refreshments will be served at the reception following the concert.

This concert is part of the Music Celebrations International summer festival and includes these choirs:

Singing with the Presbyterian Church Choir

The Festival and Chamber choirs will sing with the Presbyterian Church’s Chancel Choir at 3:00 pm on May 17 at the Presbyterian Church.

The concert is free and open to the public, however, arrive early to ensure you get a seat.

Along with the organ and orchestra, they will perform the “Mass of the Children” by John Rutter. Choir mom Anne Loewen will be playing the oboe in the orchestra and HVCC alums Anna Seitz and Dan Ryker (original HVCC member) will be the soprano and baritone soloists, respectively.

- 7:00-9:00pm Rehearsal for both Festival and Chamber choirs with Chancel Choir.
Saturday, May 16
- 10:00am-12:00pm Rehearsal with orchestra and organ in the Presbyterian Church sanctuary.
- No uniforms needed for this rehearsal.
