Dine a Mile High at The Vue 2010

Heart of the Valley Children’s Choir is hosting an annual fundraising extravaganza at The Vue (5th & 6th floor of the Elements Building) on 517 SW 2nd Street, downtown Corvallis from 4:30pm to 7:30pm on May 2, 2010.

25th Anniversary Music CD Set for sale

A 3-CD Music Set from the Festival, including the Sharing Our Songs event, is on sale for $20 at all rehearsals. If you purchased a set before Sept 29, there was a problem with the 2nd disk, a replacement is available to you, see Terry Anderson

Papa’s Pizza Fund-Raiser

Papa’s Pizza hosted a fundraiser for HVCC on Wednesday, November 11, 2009.

Pick up a flyer at the attendance tables or from the weekly In-Choir-er, bring it with you on the 11th and a portion of the proceeds of that sale will go to HVCC. It can be applied to take-out as well as dine-in.

2009 Poinsettia Sales support choir tours

Plants to be delivered to and picked up from Jefferson Elementary School on Nov 23rd. Details will be in the weekly In-Choir-er when available or contact the choir office with questions.

Volunteers needed to help unload and sort plants on the 23rd.

Order Forms are due Oct 26-27, 2009 at rehearsals.

The HVCC Chamber, Festival & CH2 Choir singers are selling wonderful poinsettias to raising money for upcoming choir tours.

The Peoria Gardens Poinsettias are just $10 and are big and beautiful in their 6 ½ inch foil-covered pots. Poinsettias are available in these colors:

Red
Pink
White
Jingle Bell: a red “petal” with splotches of creamy white and pink
Marble: a pink “petal” with creamy white edges
Novelty: can be any of the new and interesting varieties that the greenhouse is trying out for the 2009 season. If you are adventurous and choose this category, you never know what you will get.

An HVCC singer will deliver your plants the week after Thanksgiving…..just in time for the Holidays. If you would like to place an order or have questions, please contact the office or a singer/member.

2009 See’s Candies Sales Fund Raiser

Sales of See’s Candies helps raise funds for singer tour accounts for Chamber, Festival and Children’s Choir 2. These candies are good stocking stuffers, teacher, or hostess gifts, etc…

Order forms are available at rehearsals and are due November 2 and 3, 2009.

Contact information for the ladies overseeing this fund raiser will be available at the choir attendance tables.

It’s time to wrap up any loose ends. If you have questions about your ads, a loose end to turn in, or need to talk about a possible special arrangement, stop by the Ad Sales Table at the beginning of Festival or Children’s Two rehearsals.

Wa-hoo! The first Ad Sale has been confirmed. Way to go singers!! Remember the deadline to turn them in will be here in no time. I am available at the beginning of Festival rehearsals and Choir 2 rehearsals to receive Ad Sales and answer questions. The Poinsettia Sale is a great way for choir members to earn money for tours. Each plant you sell puts $4.25 directly into your own individual tour account. The choir purchases the plants for $5.75 each and you sell them for $10 each. It is a great price for such beautiful plants and your customers know it! Singers and parents are encouraged to approach friends and local businesses alike. It’s not too early to start now!

The plants are from Peoria Gardens and are big and beautiful in their 6 ½ inch foil-covered pots. Poinsettias are available in Red, Pink, White, Jingle Bell, Marble, or Novelty. Jingle Bells have a red “petal” with splotches of creamy white and pink. Marble have a pink “petal” with creamy white edges. Novelty can be any of the new and interesting varieties that the greenhouse is trying out for the 2009 season. If your buyer is adventurous and chooses this category, you never know what they will get. All of these plants are truly gorgeous and I think everyone will be very pleased.

ORDERS must be brought to rehearsal by MONDAY, OCTOBER 26^th on the order form provided. Please note that parents will be held responsible for all plants ordered by the singer. Every effort will be made to fill your EXACT order! However, due to having to pre-order we cannot guarantee all colors from your order will be filled. Please let your customers know to be a little flexible as some substitutions may have to be made.

Poinsettias will be delivered to Jefferson School on November 23^rd, 2009—please watch the newsletter for additional details. We cannot make special deliveries; plants must be picked up from Jefferson School on the delivery night!! NO exceptions, please.

Money should be collected at the time you deliver the poinsettias to your customers. Please have checks made payable to HVCC. Write “Poinsettia Sale” and the singer’s name on the comment line of each check in order to ensure that the right amount is credited to the singer’s tour account. If you receive cash for purchases, write a check for the total amount to HVCC. DO NOT MAIL CASH!! Checks to cover all plants ordered must be mailed or dropped of at the Ferguson’s home (see address below) by December 11^th.

When you donate $50 to the fundraiser, the Ball Studio will send you a gift certificate for a FREE portrait session and a FREE 8X10, a $200 value! In addition, 10% of all portrait orders will go to the fundraiser and a percentage of the sales will be donated to HVCC.
