About Chamber Choir
Chamber Choir | | Pam Van Londen | December 10, 2007 |
This choir consists of 40 to 50 young men and women in grades 8 through 12.
In this group, the choristers are responsible for learning the music. The director of this choir allows the participants to use all of their skills to learn the music, contribute their part to the group, and direct parts of the music.
Performance skills are stressed in the Chamber Choir; and the music becomes more difficult as Chamber Choir participants achieve vocal confidence and independence; the voice becomes fully trained as a musical instrument.
In addition, history, musical writing style, and musical time periods are taught.
