Somerset Tour Itinerary

Sunday July 6
   Depart US for Sherborne England. 
Monday July 7
   Arrive in England. Take bus to the Sherborne School.  Spend the rest of the day resting in Sherborne.
Tuesday July 8
   Singers spend the morning in rehearsal.  After lunch there is a guided tour of the ancient Roman baths in Bath England. Evening rehearsals for the singers.
Wednesday July 9
   Rehearsals in the mornging and afternoon for the singers.  Non rehearsal participants will travel to the coastal town of Weymouth.  Individual choir concerts in the evening at Sherborne Abbey with reception following.
Thursday July 10
   In the morning, transfer to Wells England for rehearsal at the Wells Cathedral.  Guided tour of Wells and Glastonbury.  In the evening, Festival Finale Concert in Wells Cathedral with reception following.
Friday July 11
   Check out of Sherborne School and travel by bus to London via Stonehenge.  Afternoon concert at St. John  the Baptist Parish in Windsor then tour of Windsor Castle.  Check into London hotel.
Saturday July 12
   Tour of London includes Trafalgar Square, Nelsons Column, Big Ben and the Houses of Parliament, Buckingham Palace (and hopefully the changing of the guard), St. Pauls Cathedral,  and the Tower of  London.
Sunday July 13
   Sing for morning service at St. Teresa’s Catholic Church.  Afternoon ferry across the English Channel,(Dover to Calais).  Check in to Paris hotel.
Monday July 14 - Bastille Day!
   Morning trip to the Louvre. Afternoon tour of Paris including Notre Dame Cathedral, Arc de Triomphe, Eiffel Tower, Champs Elysees, Place de la Concorde,  Luxembourg Palace and Gardens, Latin Quarter, Place de la Bastille, and Napoleon’s Tomb.  Evening Metro trip to the Eiffel Tower to sing the French National Anthem.
Tuesday July 15
   Morning cruise on the Seine River.  Afternoon recital at Notre Dame Cathedral and also at Church of the Madeleine as part of the American Celebration of Music in France. Farewell dinner at Les Fontaines St. Honore.
Wednesday July 16
   Transfer to Paris airport for return trip to Portland.
